Before becoming an attorney, Maria began her legal career as an intern and law clerk while attending Utah State University, where she worked for the Honorable Judge Kevin K. Allen at the First Judicial District Court in Logan, Utah. During this time, Maria witnessed Judge Allen’s strong commitment to justice, including his involvement in judicial intervention programs for individuals with mental illness. This experience deeply influenced her and solidified her desire to pursue a legal career focused on helping people during their most vulnerable moments.
Maria earned her bachelor’s degree from Utah State University and later obtained her Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law in San Diego, California.
