Suzuki Motorcycles Recall: Front Brake Master Cylinder Issues
In August 2021, Suzuki Motor Corporation issued a recall for certain models of its motorcycles due to an issue with the front brake master cylinder. The recall affects certain model year 2018-2020 Suzuki V-Strom 1000, 2018-2019 Suzuki V-Strom 1000XT, and 2018-2021 Suzuki V-Strom 650 motorcycles.
According to the recall notice, the front brake master cylinder on these motorcycles may fail, causing a loss of braking power and increasing the risk of a crash. Suzuki has received reports of two crashes related to this issue, but no injuries have been reported.
Owners of affected motorcycles are encouraged to contact their local Suzuki dealership to schedule a free repair. Suzuki will replace the front brake master cylinder free of charge.
It’s important for motorcycle owners to stay up to date on recalls and make sure to have any safety issues addressed as soon as possible. If you own one of the affected Suzuki models, be sure to take advantage of this recall and have your front brake master cylinder replaced to ensure the safe operation of your motorcycle.
